This summit is open to students 12 yrs and up, parents, educators, community leaders, IT professionals, scientists, engineers, healthcare professionals and architects.

We’ve planned  a weekend of amazing keynotes, mentorship, career exploration, activities, and awards!

And all using the power of virtual meeting platforms!

We will be offering a $500 scholarship to two high school seniors and/or college students who are interested in STEM or actively helping their community. Winners will be announced during the last day of the Girls in STEM Summit.

Dr. Anana is an Entrepreneur, Talk Show Host, Author, Speaker, Success Coach and Mentor to girls and women around the world. Most recently Dr Anana was appointed an International Honorary Chaplain & Coach by the Humanitarian Diplomatic Alliance. Dr Anana was named a 2020 Iconic Influencer and featured in A Coffee Table Book Comprising of Global Influencers.

Anana is a three-time author (A Mothers Love: Letters to Our Sons, Live Your Best Life: Answer the Call, & BlessedGirl Superhero: Book of Affirmations).She is a dedicated wife and mother to 3 extraordinary young men.

Dr. Phifer-Derilhomme is simply a blessed girl- blessed with the ability to help others discover, appreciate and manifest their blessings. She is a sought-out for being an enthusiastic and accountable leader. Vanessa Aboagye

Vanessa grew up in East Brunswick, NJ and graduated from Trinity College where she majored in Neuroscience. After college, she obtained a Masters in Biomedical Science at Rowan University and worked as a quality control specialist in the pharmaceutical industry. Even though she enjoyed what she did, she wanted a more direct way of helping patients besides making sure the medications that were given to them were safe. 

Currently, she is a  third year medical student at Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine and now live in Clementon, NJ. When she graduates medical school, Vanessa hopes to practice medicine in the various underserved communities in Southern New Jersey. She  joined Blessed Girls because she wants to make an impact in the lives of many young women. Her various experiences have shown her that having a good mentor can help you get extremely far in life. In the end, her goal is to not only to get young girls interested in careers in STEM, but to also help them in through the various challenges of growing up. 

Alesia Antoine​

Alesia Antoine is a medical student pursuing her Doctorate from Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine and is anticipating the receipt of her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in the spring of 2022. She previously received her Bachelors’ in Molecular and Microbiology from the University of Central Florida (UCF) and her Masters in Science in Aging and Neuroscience from the University of South Florida (USF) Morsani College of Medicine.

In conjunction with medicine, Alesia has been deeply involved with scientific research for over a decade. Before starting medical school, Alesia worked as a Senior Research Associate with Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine in the field of next generation sequencing making contributions to the fields of reproductive health, neurology, oncology, hematology, photonics and virology. Her contributions have been published in several journals including Nature and Science. She has spoken and presented at several conferences.

Kameelah S. Majied, BE, PMP, MS

Meet Kameelah Samar Majied, PMP ®, who currently works for Merck & Co., Inc., as the Associate Director of Network Strategy & Execution with emphasis on product source management.  Kameelah also is the Diversity Champion for the External Manufacturing & MMD Strategy line of business.  Starting May 1st, 2020, Kameelah became the National Professionals Chair for the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE); leading the segment of NSBE that focuses on the experienced, black technical professionals. 

She joined the organization as an undergraduate in 1996 and served on chapter, zone, and regional leadership roles.  She earned both her B.E. (Mechanical Engineering) and M.S. (Management Science) from Stevens Institute of Technology (Hoboken, NJ), and is a well-regarded engineering & business leader.  In over 20 years, she has worked for Fortune 100 companies such as Bristol-Myers Squibb, L’Oreal USA, Limitedbrands (Bath & Body Works), Astor & Black Custom Clothiers, Johnson & Johnson, and now Merck & Co., Inc.  Kameelah holds her Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification and credits her career path to having a transferable skill set that is deeply rooted in engineering fundamentals.

Mireille Toulekima

   MIREILLE TOULEKIMA is an internationally renowned oil and gas professional, Senior Petroleum Engineer, Global Energy and STEM consultant, Speaker, Author, Talk Show Host and Women empowerment advocate who gained her experience working across 4 continents in Australia, Africa, Asia and Europe on projects of different scale for several multinational companies in a range of technical and leadership roles for more than 20 years.   She has published three books of which: “Local Content Key Enabler for Oil and Gas projects in Emerging Markets: Investing, Developing and Providing Oversight in Countries of Operation” in 2015 which is now a refence book for government institutions and universities in Scotland and in several African countries. 

Bongekile Matsenjwa

    A masters degree holder in engineering management with a background in chemical engineering experience in manufacturing organizations within engineering as well as engineering consulting.

Since the world is constantly evolving, I believe in continuous innovations that lead to technologies that benefit the world. Engineering to me is not just a technical industry, but it provides branded products and services of superior quality and value that improve the lives of the world’s consumers. Hence, why I believe in diligence and demonstrating passion in the work I do.

Dr. Chris T. Pernell

    Dr. Chris T. Pernell is a dynamic physician leader and social change agent. In her public  health practice, she focuses on health justice, community-based advocacy, and population wide health promotion and disease prevention. Working as a senior executive in a hospital  in Newark, New Jersey, she oversees a portfolio that includes Population Health, Strategic  Planning, Community Affairs, and the Human Experience. Of note, her role was created to  lead the hospital’s first ever health equity and inclusion strategy in an integrated fashion  across multiple business units. Prior to joining this academic medical center, she led the  1199SEIU/League Labor Management Initiatives (LMI) Workplace and Community Health  Program. Working with leaders and frontline workers of 1199SEIU, and partners across  NYC healthcare institutions, her efforts centered on workplace health strategies, worker  empowerment, health equity, and health system transformation.

Dr. Phula Dlamini

As an adept dental practitioner, Dr. Phula Dlamini has helped patients achieve their oral  health goals. She is currently a licensed dentist pursuing studies towards a Diploma in  Interceptive Orthodontics. She performs general cleanings and tooth extractions as well as  adjusting tooth positions especially in children for easier correction of malaligned dentition  as the child grows older. Dr Dlamini cares for the needs of both growing children as well as  adults. Her focus is on teaching children healthy habits which will carry them into their adult  lives allowing them to be proud of their smiles.

Jennifer Marrero

    Jennifer Marrero is a current Architecture Student enrolled into the BARCH Program at AAU and has an Associate’s Degree in Drafting & Design Technology from her former school ITT-TECH. Jennifer is one of the founders for the NOMAS AAU Chapter originating in the fall semester of 2020 which she started in a secretary position and is now the current chapter advisory leader. Jennifer Marrero is going through the certification process to become an International Motivational Speaker. She believes in operating in your uniqueness and following your purpose because the world needs you. Jennifer Marrero is the CEO of The Jen Show Podcast. A Podcast used to inspire people to operate in their purpose and to be confident in their own individuality by interviewing people who have done it and continue to inspire others in both the US and Internationally.

Vanessa Williams

   Vanessa is a 5th year doctoral candidate at Pace  University school/clinical-child psychology program. Vanessa has worked in various settings including schools, community mental health centers and hospitals. Along the way to earning her doctorate, Vanessa has also earned her Master of Science in Education. Vanessa has worked with individuals across the lifespan and is passionate about de-stigmatizing mental health and ensuring all have access to care.
